  • Vampires and Farm Trucks Filled with Cows

    ELeal writes:

The other day I dreamt that my husband was a vampire. He managed to convert everyone that lived on the bottom floor of an apartment complex into a vampire. I was running from him the whole time, and he caught up to me. I told him that I was tired of running and that I was ready to become a vampire like him. Right at the moment that I was ready to give into him, a preacher on the second floor of the apartment started saying scriptures and was holding a Bible in the air. Suddenly, I pulled my Bible out and I ran to the preacher on the. The preacher was in a grey room with a only dresser in it. He said that people were coming to save us. Suddenly, there was this caravan of farm trucks that were dirty. In these trucks there were cows laying in the backseat. The truck I was in was red with wood paneling with a light brown cow in the backseat. What do you make of all these events that occured in my dream?

Your dream represents a loss of self or a need for attention. The vampire, in particular, signifies a loss of attention that is draining you. The fact that you want to become a vampire is to give into a depressed state.

Running into a room/apartment with a preacher is to return to the past. The Bible is a need to connect to self. The religious imagery in your dream is a connection to an inner peace that seems to be lacking right now.

The dull grey color represents, once again, your depressed state. The dresser is you feeling all alone in a lonely room. The farm truck and the vivid red is expressing a strong emotion that you may be experiencing right now.

The cow gives nourishment and, once again, reinforces your lack thereof.

So if you are feeling out of sorts these days, then this state is what is manifested in your dreams. You may be feeling all of this on a subconcious level, which is why you find yourself in the basement.

I only interpret your dreams and in no way give advice, but perhaps this helps on some level.

  • Mom and the Missing Son

    'DeLaO' writes:

I have had this dream repeatedly, and don't understand why. I have a 16-year-old son and a 9-year-old son. In my dream my younger son gets lost and we can never find him. My dreams always take place outside where there are a lot of people (children, adults) and the people that are always there are people in which me and my family know and associate with.  As we walk around trying to find him, we are asking everyone if they have seen him. We are told  "yes" he has been seen by a lot of people, but he is nowhere to be found. One thing I can tell you is that my 9-year-old son knows a lot of people and everyone knows him. He has many friends. There is no pain, blood or death in my dream. I just awaken and my son is never found. What can this possibly mean?
    Dear Worried,

Not to worry. This dream is not actually about your son, but about you! Your son represents an aspect of yourself that has been dominant in your life, but that you feel diminishing. Think back on how your life has changed over the last year - or even the last few years. The fact that there is no blood or pain means you are transitioning well with the change or changes and that either this is a natural growth or education either spiritually or personally. Since you say that others "see him" but can't find him, then this growth has now become a trait of yours or something that now comes naturally to you. It is inherent in you.

    Pleasant dreams,

  • Teeth Falling Out

    'Toothless' writes:

I am looking in a mirror and am holding my teeth in my hands that are falling. I don’t understand my dream. Can you help?

    Dear Toothless,

Unfortunately, losing teeth is not a good dream. It usually means that others are conspiring against you. I caution you to be wary of your co-workers or acquaintances as they may not have your best interests at heart.

Here's wishing you better dreams tonight,

  • Death and Dreaming

    Solitaire writes:

The dream I would like to discuss with you was me dying. I have had 2 or 3 dreams already with me actually dying. One was me and some other friends ramming our car into a building to expose some illegal activity, which costed us our lives. We basically committed suicide to expose this activity. The other dream was about my husband and I  getting hit by a train. My husband tried to outrun the train, and we didn't make it. I have two kids and they, too, were in the car. When I actually died I remember hearing a loud screching noise and then I saw lines as if I was going into another dimension. I couldn't feel anything and I couldn't feel anyone next to me. This happened a few months after my grandmother passed away.

    Dear Solitaire:

Death in dreams is actually a beginning. You are experiencing the loss of a family member in real life. Your dreams are manifesting an aspect of your life that has died and you are beginning a new life without them. The fact that your family features so prominently in your dreams is how you will deal with the loss of your grandmother. The family represents the love you have in your heart, and that love will guide you in your new life without your grandmother.

    Dream well,

  • Teacher and Out of Control Classroom

    Teacher writes:

I was in my classroom (I teach High School English).  Several of my students from this past year were in class taking a test.  These were students from several different classes - the ones you never want in one class - all together. When THEY get together, they don't know how to shut up. And this, of course, was the problem that I was having with them. They were taking a very important test, and all they wanted to do was talk. I tried reasoning and I tried threatening. One big threat I remember making was that anyone who continued talking would receive a zero in their test.

They ignored me. I remembered thinking, "Of course they're ignoring me. I never enforce the talking=0 rule."  So I adjusted my threat, in my mind, to anyone who talks gets a 50. Then I hunted a seating chart, and started writing on it anyone who was talking. They would not stop talking. Then I tried reasoning with them again. There was one student left testing (a new student - one I've never seen before), and I told them, this student is still testing - give her silence to finish, please. Again, they ignored me.

So I went back to making notes of who was talking.  Everytime someone spoke, I'd write down "talk" next to their names (it's something I do in real life during class, if a kid is talking).  I got so involved in writing down who was talking, I lost track of time. When I looked up again, half the class was gone. I felt a brief moment of relief (Thank God - it's quiet finally!) before I realized, where did they go??? The door was cracked, so I ran out in the hallway.  Some of them were out, and I began yelling at them to get in the classroom.

This is SO not like what I do in the classroom. It's like a nightmare come true - where I've totally lost control - of myself AND of my students.

Also, while all this was going on, my department chair was in my classroom.  I have no idea what he was doing.  I remember something about he had slushes for the students, and I told him NO - they cannot have those - not the way they're acting.  While I was having all these problems, though, he just sat there, passively, not going out of his way to help me at all.

Once I started yelling at the kids in the hall to get back in the classroom, I woke up (my infant was crying, and my older daughter was asking me questions - yay.)

I should mention that yesterday we had a scare with my infant daughter. She fell out of her stroller, so we were at the ER for a long time. She's okay, though, thank God!  I'm assuming the intensity and mood of the dream is connected to yesterday's events.

    Dear Teacher,

Absolutely! The students in your classroom represent something that you know very well. You are the teacher in real life, so they represent what you have already learned. The fact that they were so out of control is how you are feeling as a result of having a new infant and not being able to be in control and keep her safe always. This is an anxiety dream, where what you know should be easy and calming.  However, due to feeling overwhelmed, all in the dream is chaotic.

    Sweet Dreams,

  • Stolen Jetta?

A new Jetta owner writes in with this dream…

“I’ve had this same dream several times lately. I recently purchased a 2002 VW Jetta. I keep dreaming it gets stolen from my home. Weird. Then on Sunday morning I heard the alarm go off, but no one was around. Should I worry?”

I wouldn't worry. You just love your car. The car symbolizes a happy place and you’re afraid that this good feeling will go away. Prophecy dreams are extremely rare, and are very vivid and involved, so I think you are just fine. Enjoy the car!

  • Hi Dreamers

Gypsy Sister here and ready to help you go back to sleep! Ever had a dream you were unsure of, but remember vividly? Let me help you understand what the symbols and people in your dream represent - and what the dream is trying to tell you or help you work through.

To get started, send an email to GypsySister@gmail.com with all the details you can remember from your dream. I need to know whether it was day or night or both during your dream. Who else was in the dream and their relationship to you, such as, boss, sister, friend, stranger? What colors do you remember most and what were they attached to? For example, a blue horse, green car, white couch - you get the idea. Did you experience any pain in the dream and if so, where on your body?  Was there blood? Just pain? Loose some limbs or teeth? Was their a birth or a death? Did you face your tormentor in your dream? Is this dream a repeater? Do you know the place where the dream takes place? Were you in a meadow or swimming in the ocean?

I know this sounds like a lot, but the more you can remember in terms of symbols, the more I can delve into your innermost self and interpret what is most on your mind.

So let's get going. GypsySister wants to hear from you!

    Pleasant Dreams.
