Fool's Gold makes the most of its charismatic performers. Matthew McConaughey is in his element as an adventurer who spends more time hunting buried treasure than with his adoring wife (Kate Hudson). She decides to give him a hard time, turning the film into a classic romantic comedy punctuated with a sense of humor and spirited adventure. It’s full of romantic sparks when the two leads appear onscreen together so it’s fun to watch and root for the characters. Rated PG-13 and worth 3 stars.
