I'm not sure why but I'm finding week two a bit tougher than week one. I'm still enthusiastic but the workouts are harder. I'm sure I'll get over it. The benefits so great: better fitting clothes, more energy, and it's easier to do tasks that might have winded me in the past.
For instance, I had to engineer a remote broadcast we did at the Huckabee rally on Monday. I was running up and down stairs and running up and down the halls of Blossom Athletic Center. I was winded but I recovered very quickly. Much quicker than before!
As a sidebar, I got to meet Mike Huckabee. It was really cool. I wrote him a note saying that I had lost 12 pounds on the Biggest Loser Program and that his book inspired me to get up off my butt and get going. Mike took the book, read the note and gave me a big thumbs up. He also signed the book. It was so great!
Then Mike said to me, "Aren't you the guy that was walking 30,000 steps a day".
"No, that was Earl," I said.
"Oh," said Mike (slightly disappointed). "Oh Well, Good Luck"
Darn You Earl!!
