I want to start by thanking all of you for you insights. I like to think I am learning lots of lessons, then you guys post your insights and i get to learn so much more than I could on my own. This morning, I was thinking about something that Jim Cramer said on news radio a while back. He was discussing finances as always, and a woman called in about being overwhelmed with debt. He said to her, "How do you eat an elephant?...One bite at a time!" So yea, it applies to finances, but it can also be applied to nearly everything we do in life. every step we take puts us closer to our goals, not just in money, not just in weight loss, or relationships, or work, but everything. Everyday we take baby steps towards out goals big and small, sometimes we dont even think about things as goals, but essentially, everything we do is for a goal. The goal could be as small as brushing your teeth, but you have to wet your tooth brush, apply the tooth paste, use the water to anchor the toothpaste, we take for granted that those are steps to a goal, but they are.
My point is, I am going to start looking at life this way. Every workout, every smart choice, every second that i avoid temptations is a bite from that elephant. Everytime that overcome negativity in my life is a bite. Some bites are little and some big but they all have a common goal. It is important not to get overwhelmed by the elephant, because every bite counts.
Okay, so maybe that was a little abstract thinking, but it all became clear to me so i thought i would share
