This has been a wonderful day

What a day! What a day! What a day!

I can remember the wonderful feeling I had when this contest started and now it’s come full circle.  This has been one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences of my life.  Everything about it has been unbelievable: the weight loss, the new healthy habits, the new friends, the prizes, the opportunity to blog, the opportunity to ham it up on TV…EVERYTHING!

There are some “thanks” I’d like to give (in no order) .

God – For not only opening the door but pushing me through it when I hesitated to go through…THANK YOU!!

Shelly Miles – For putting this together and changing our lives, for sincerely caring, for never giving up…THANK YOU!

Leslie Bohl Jones – For the hugs, for the genuine warmth of your company, for being a part of the journey…THANK YOU!

The Entire San Antonio Living Crew -  For the constant encouragement, for the sincere caring, for the cold mic packs on my back…THANK YOU!

Mickey – For the long morning walks, for the great advice, for making me feel like I’d get my butt kicked if I didn’t show up, for helping me (more than you’ll know) along the way…. THANK YOU!!!

Melanie -  For knowing when to push and how hard, for training us smarter and harder, for always being there to help…THANK YOU!

Laurie –  For the great jokes, for the encouragement, for the double entendres, for the Simpson’s references, for working hard despite setbacks …THANK YOU!

Sean -  For the competition, for the kind words, for the pats on the back, for inspiring me with your remarkable success…THANK YOU!

Earl – For showing us how to be a winner, for the competition, for always having an encouraging word for everyone….THANK YOU!

Michelle -  For your great attitude, for never quitting, for your inviting attitude and contagious laughter…THANK YOU!

Suinmey – For getting me “Movin’ Movin’, for your wonderful laughter, for your great stories, for caring…THANK YOU!

Belinda – For not giving up despite challenges, for your dry wit, for your encouragement…THANK YOU!

Andrea – For your fun and feisty spirit, for all your kind words, for your competitive spirit…THANK YOU!

My Mom -  For pushing me each day, for her involvement, for just being a

great Mom…THANK YOU!

My Sister Nancy – For all the phone calls of encouragement, for all the great ideas, for caring about your little brother so much…THANK YOU!!!

My Nephew Jonathan and Niece Julie-  For keeping up with my progress, for the helpful tips, for your genuine interest in my success….THANK YOU!!

My Friend Marcie – For the help, the ideas, the cooking and fashion tips, for all the encouragement…THANK YOU!!

My Boss David Z – For letting me do this, for all the encouragement, for caring about my welfare… THANK YOU!

To the community – For letting me blog, for your care and concern, for coming with me on the journey…THANK YOU!

To The Sponsors – For the great workout facilities at Spectrum, For the great shoes from Foot Solutions, For the wonderful haircut from Avenda, For helping make this possible…THANK YOU!

Again, this has been a wonderful journey.  I’m proud of winning and I’m proud of each and every man and woman that participated with me.  I hope we’ve encouraged you to reach your goals whether they be for weight loss or some thing else.

Well, if they’ll let me, I’ll blog again,  Right now, I’ve got to go to bed.  Tomorrow’s another day and I’ve got to get up early to work out.

Hey Milt,
Now that you are a celebrity I've been thinking that your next greatest challenge should be Dancing with the Stars. Seriously, I know you've got to finish this thing first. You are a wonderful brother and I'm so proud of you. It's hard to believe how things that have been difficulties in life can be turned around in just 3 short months. You have certainly proved that one can change something if you put your mind to it and that it doesn't have to take forever to do it. I know you will continue on this glorious path to great and wonderful things. songbird

Milton, I read your blog last night and thought I would wait until today to comment, because there was so much I wanted to say and it was late; however it seems that waiting was a grand idea because Pedro spoke the words so eloquently and now all I can say is "DITTO" to Pedro's comments. :)
