  • Kimbo Slice v.s James Thompson

Kimbo Slice, known to all in MMA as the most intimidating, pound per pound Street Brawler, made many second guess themselves. Kimbo has been training with Bas "El Guapo" Rutten for the past few months. Kimbo has come a long way in MMA. Learning technique using his powerful strength from stand up to the ground. Many have feared Kimbo, that all has changed. Many people have said he is not good on the ground, as per Saturday's fight, that is a known fact. True MMA fans and fighters new and old were anxious to see Kimbo's first nationally televised appearance. James Thompson stepped into the cage with a cauliflower ear so big it dangled. It was obvious that his ear needed to be aspirated and was overlooked by the Doctors as he was cleared to fight. All the spectators were on their feet as the two went toe to toe, by the end of the second round, Kimbo threw a right hook which finally opened up the dangling target. Kimbo instinctively continued to attack the fresh wound. Two right hooks later, he accomplished his mission as the blood splattered three rows into the crowd. Onlookers were amazed as first time viewers were disgusted. The next MMA event that is Nationally televised,  will allow Mixed Martial Arts to redeem itself with a better outlook of what MMA is about and not the spectacle of Saturday Night.
