i think the trade will help come playoffs. kurt thomas was always a good defender when he went up against Tim, and Tim is probably the best post up player in the league. so that says alot for Kurt when he starts defending the lower skilled post up players. Kurt defeinately is a better player than fransisco elson. brent bary was fun as far as personality goes. he was starting to become inconsistent with his scoring, plus his injury problems i think it was a good move for the team. hey atleast he got a RING!

I read somewhere else that the Sonics waived Barry, so he's a free agent now. If he wanted to, he could come back to the Spurs in 30 days. I'm no expert in how contracts work in the NBA and so I don't know if he did come back where that would put the Spurs salary cap-wise. But if they planned it to work out that he'd come back and we'd STILL get Thomas, then WOW. But I'm a big Barry fan and hope that he would come back.

Now that is good news in Harvey's column. I hope Brent Barry chooses us...and not the Suns or other teams wanting him. Surely he will want to be back here with teammates and fans who love him. What a huge contribution to San Antonio Brent's wife has made. Come back, Brent.

hey BA Elson was not an outside shooter you must be a dallas (mavericks) fan you don't even know the spurs...since when has elson gone and mad a crunch time 3 like berry!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if anyone has been looking at the NBA standings on the NBA website, but there are no Spurs on the lists under divisions or conferences. I guess they really don't like our Spurs. They have deleted them. That figures!!!!!
