Calling  all super sleuths and true crime drama fans. NBC has ordered the pilot for  "Blue Blood,”  a series based on the memoirs of former New  York City police officer Edward Conlon.  The pilot follows Conlon through his first year on the force.

Brett Ratner, executive producer for “Prison Break” on Fox, will serve as director and executive producer. Industry critics are already singing praises about the well-written storylines.
