Tonight marks the second night of premiere week. My DVR is on overload trying to record all the latest offerings. Last night at the gym I noticed that almost every TV in the place was tuned in to Chuck, NBC's latest offering about a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. It was a little corny at times but everyone knows someone like Chuck so it was easy to associate with him, and his skittishness around CIA agent Sarah.
Another show that premiered last night is Journeyman. Journeyman is a romantic mystery-drama about Dan Vasser (Kevin McKidd, "Rome"), a San Francisco newspaper reporter and family man who inexplicably begins to travel through time and change people's lives. As he travels back in time he crosses paths with his ex fiancé as his wife sits at home wondering where her husband is. I loved the love triangle aspect of the show but I felt like the chemistry between Dan and his wife was a little weak…even made me wish he was still with his ex because it seemed like they had a lot more passion. (don't feel bad for his wife, before she was with Dan she was dating his brother) But that's just me.
Tonight NBC will air The Biggest Loser and the series premiere of Law and Order SVU staring Cynthia Nixon as a woman with multiple personalities. (definitely recording that). So tell us…which shows did you watch last night? Were any of them better or worse than you expected. Are there shows you are addicted to?
FYI in case you missed it, an encore presentation of Chuck will air Saturday at 8p and both Journeyman and Chuck can be viewed on NBC.com.
Until tomorrow…Happy TV viewing
